MECHANICAL FITTER

• Work with Project Manager / Team Leader to understand the requirements of the project
• Read and interpret designs to plan and complete the task and ascertain the materials and equipment required.
• Position and install mechanical equipment to meet required specification and thus preparing them for use
• Disassemble mechanical equipment according to specification
• Carry out repairs to ensure proper operation and maintenance of equipment
• Checking the accuracy and quality of assembled equipment
• Plan all work taking into account changing conditions and to report progress accurately
• Understand and work to Permit System
• Ensure all JSAs are reviewed and understood and all associated paperwork is satisfactorily
• Work safely according to the company’s HSE policy

• Mechanical Fitter Trade Qualification
• Min 3 years offshore experience
• Excellent technical knowledge
• Extensive mechanical / hydraulic experience within the oil and gas industry
o Diesel power generation, gas turbines, compressors, pumps, fans, valves, pressure pipes, filters. Etc.
• Good English verbal and written comprehension and expression
• Sound knowledge of all related drilling equipment
• Sound knowledge of hydraulic/ pneumatic systems
• Good teamworking skills
• The ability to prioritise and plan effectively
• The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
