Senior General Accountant

Records accounting information in a professional and detailed fashion.
Fixed Assets Accounting (Maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register).
Active participation on the month and year end closing of the books.
Banking Accounting.
Ad hock Financial reporting as required.
Internal Financial controls compliance.
Preparation of statutory accounts at the year end.
Liaison with External Auditors and Tax Consultants in all.

● BS Degree in Accounting or Finance functions
● Proven working experience as Accounting Manager or similar role
● 5+ years of experience in the management of Accounting and Finance functions
● Excellent verbal communication skills in both written and spoken English and Portuguese
● Organizational and collaboration skills
● Ability to direct and supervise assigned areas of responsibilities
● Advanced computer skills in MS Office, accounting software and databases, including Primavera
● Ability to analyze large amounts of data
● Organizational and collaboration skills
● Proven knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, standards, laws and regulations
● Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
● High attention to detail, efficiency accuracy
● Hands on approach/Proactiveness/Results orientation
● Willingness to comply with all local, state, federal regulations.
● Registered with OCPA/Ministry of Finance
● Strong analytical and research skills
● Close attention to detail
● Ability to meet hard deadlines
● In-depth knowledge of corporate finance principles
● Understanding of Angolan tax laws
