Facilities Technician

Primary Assignment – Electrical /Mechanical /Plumbing Systems Maintenance.
- Inspecting the data center major equipment daily.
- Carrying out basic preventative mechanical and/or electrical maintenance.
- Working directly with contractors until assignments are satisfactorily completed.
- Performing weekly generator testing and power system audits.
Secondary Assignment – Support Services.
- Coordinating all new device installations in Data Hall.
- Responding to the Company NOC & customer tickets.
- Maintaining adequate supply levels for Ethernet patch cables, power cables, power bars, and other tools etc.
- Ensuring all visitors to the Company Data Centre follow all health and safety regulations and protocols.

• Graduation from a trade school or recent apprenticeship in a mechanical/electrical trade or equivalent experience.
• Certification or degree in mechanical/electrical engineering
• 2-3 years of working experience with electrical /mechanical systems.
• Experience in data center operations is preferred (Knowledge is required)
• Available for emergency on-call and shift work predominantly during the night and over the weekends.
• Basic knowledge of power systems (UPS', RPPs, PDUs) cooling systems (HVACs, air flow dynamics)
• Working knowledge of pumps, compressors, boilers, chillers, facility HVAC systems is necessary
• Working knowledge of UPS systems and associated switch gear.
• Working knowledge of standby generator systems and associated switch gear.
• Working knowledge of sprinkler systems/fire alarms systems testing, building management systems.
