Tax Consultant

Purpose: Assist with the implementation of VAT for the Group Companies in Angola.

Responsabilities:

1. Prepare tax payments.
2. Develop VAT strategy across the group.
3. Implement VAT policies and procedures for accounting, compliance, and audit.
4. Provide training to business unit leaders on the implications of VAT Enable the VAT module within an ERP system, tailoring reports for BU Managers Manage the Indirect Tax risk across the group, remaining up to date on Tax legislation and updates.
5. Lead the overall strategic implementation of Vat into the group as a whole.
6. Review how key functions within the organization that will be impacted by VAT implementation.
7. Developing VAT training material for the staff.
8. Evaluating current contracts effect and advising to management for necessary actions.
9. Preparing budgets and rolling forecasts for VAT implementations and other projects.
10. Mapping business areas and processes of the clients which are likely to require structural changes to comply with VAT requirements.
11. Reviewing business processes involved in the 'supply chain' across all business processes of the clients and having discussions with selected team members involved in the 'supply chain' to identify VAT touch-points (such as deemed supplies or items classified as blocked for VAT Input Tax recovery purposes) arising from any arrangements and their potential VAT impact.

1. BSc degree in Accounting, Management or Law.
2. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Angola Taxation.
3. Native Portuguese speaker and advanced level of English.
4. Previous Big 4 experience is a plus.
