Dynamic Positioning Operator

- Responsible for navigation and controlling the vessel’s position, using the DP systems, manual controls and joysticks as appropriate.

- Assist the Senior DPO in taking immediate action in any circumstance that could compromise the safety of the vessel, or the DP operation.

- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the DP control systems, including procedures for both automatic and manual system changeovers; and maintain a comprehensive knowledge and detailed understanding of the vessel’s DP Operations Manual, the company’s Field DP Manual, and Master/ OIM’s standing instructions.

- Ensuring company owned and managed DP vessels are operated in a safe, efficient and economical manner and in full compliance with Class and Statutory regulations.

- Ensuring that requisitions for supplies are tracked and expedited, ensure that all spares for the vessels are in order

- Responsible for ensuring that all mandatory procedures i.e. Tool box talks, Risk assessments, permits to work, hot work permits etc., are used effectively and filed for audit purposes.

- Coc_OOW certificate without Vessel Limitation - Certificate of Competency Class 1 or class 2 preferable or Officer of the Watch as a minimum Requirement

- DP unlimited - GMDSS Relevant Experience

- 3 years Experience as DPO Engineer - 2 to 3 Years Standalone DP
