Descrição
Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close in accordance with corporate reporting deadlines. This includes actual and forecast options/scenarios;
Monitor and advise Discovery Manager on budget tracking (outlook) and provide advice on re-allocations;
Monitor cash flows and coordinate cash call when necessary;
Manage where required confidentiality and potentially other agreements with third parties: coordinate meetings with third parties; liaise with Group Legal for the review/approval of agreements, contracts and governance issues; and, prepare the documents for the manager’s final review and sign-off;
Human Resource: reporting, coordination of role profiles, recruitment and onboarding of new team members);
Be the principal point of contact for day to day coordination with Group HR, Group Supply Chain, Group Tax and Group Finance;
Lead all Business Integrity (BI) compliance requirements: ensure that everyone has completed the mandatory training, documentation for external and internal audits; and, reply to local or Corporate BI requests;
Custodian of the training matrix for Angola, including all SHEC, BI and other necessary trainings..;
Full involvement in current projects in the Southern Africa Region to understand project´s goals, synergies and opportunities;
Support the project leaders and Discovery Manager on the planning and preparation of new contracts, including coordination with Supply Chain, and relevant Business Units in Southern Africa if appropriate;
Ensure that Safety, Health, Environment and Communities standards are in place in all contracts, and that service providers are aligned with these;
Develop required compliance governance for the discipline ensuring that requirements are reached as per standards;
Ensure systems are in place to monitor compliance and manage non-compliance;
Lead audit to ensure that scope is well defined and resources are allocated;
Lead close-outs within discipline to ensure audit findings are understood and challenged.
Requisitos
University degree Finance/business education is preferred;
Proven relevant administrative and technical experience in a team environment;
Proven relevant experience working in support of senior management;
Proven relevant experience in a multinational corporation is desirable;
Prior relevant experience in the mining or resources sector is required;
Prior relevant experience working with external exploration-related contractors;
Strong business acumen and problem-solving skills;
Strong English verbal and written communication skills (Portuguese verbal and written communication skills would be highly regarded but not essential);
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask;
Demonstrate accountability by adhering to agreed-upon work schedule;
Demonstrate reliability by meeting agreed-upon deadlines;
Ability to produce high quality deliverables with acute attention to detail;
Ability to support a number of people and prioritize work appropriately;
