Lifting Equipment Inspector

• Carrying out cargo pre-shipping inspections on offshore standard containers, baskets and other units, and working in a similar environment. For the candidate, this type of work will make up the majority of their working day/night.

-Competent in all aspects of lifting equipment inspection, testing and certification. This would include but not be limited to offshore containers, manual lifting machines, wire rope slings, shackles, runway beams, soft slings and chain slings.

Good working knowledge of LOLER as well as relevant international industry and equipment specific standards.
Knowledge and experience of wire rope inspections, wire rope socketing is an advantage.

• Knowledge and experience of wire rope inspections, wire rope socketing is an advantage.
• Must have the ability to work alone and unsupervised for long periods.
• Must hold at least 1 x LEEA certificate.
• Must also hold an existing Level 2 or SNT NDT certificate in MPI and LPI disciplines.
• Experience and certificates for rigging and lifting is an advantage.
• Must hold a valid driving license.
• Must have had an offshore medical within the last 12 months.
• A valid HUET or BST is preferred, or at least recently expired.
• Must have very good English skills, spoken and written.
• Must be IT literate, and proficient using Microsoft office, word, excel.
