POSITION SUMMARY:
To assist the Q&R affairs officer in the development & implementation of the quality control system through the setting of standard operating procedures and quality plans. Quality control supervisory role also involves the periodical review of standard procedures implementation through the conduct of quality and safety audits. This role has to ensure that data and information required by Quality & regulatory affairs officer is accurately prepared, submitted and available on a timely basis.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs inspections of received products according to well defined criteria using standard physical and sensorial assessments.
Performs inspection of warehousing and distribution centers for good hygiene practices (GHP) & good warehousing practices (GWP) as per set audit procedures.
Accurately documents & reports back on the results of inspection and any deviations or non-conformities registered (non-conformity and customer complaint report).
Conducts and documents process and system audits following written standard procedures.
Maintains all controlled documents files and test records in a timely and accurate manner.
Coordinates calibration of all testing and monitoring equipment and fixtures such as, and not limited to: weighing scales, temperature readers, humidity readers, vacuum and pressure gauges…etc
Monitors critical equipment and instrumentation to ensure proper operation.
Participates in the construction and/or revision of inspection test plans for the inspection function.
Assists in the writing and updating of inspection procedures, protocol and checklists.
Evaluates problems and make initial recommendation for possible corrective action to supervise.
Performs review of history records and other documentation for compliance to established procedures and good documentation practices.
Prepared to travel to different provinces within Angola as per required tasks.
Requisitos

EDUCATION:
Vocational level (in food technology, food science, chemistry or biochemistry) or Bachelor level (preferably in food science related fields).
Fresh graduate with preference for up to 2 years quality control experience.
LANGUAGE:
Good knowledge of Portuguese languages both written and spoken, English is a plus
EXPERIENCE:
Good experience in quality control of food products preferably within manufacturing & supply chain context (Years: 5)
Good experience in food safety control and risk assessment (Years: 5)
Good experience in troubleshooting quality related issues and investigating food non-conformance claim (Years: 5)
Fair exposure to quality management system planning & implementation (Years: 3)
