Roughneck

A Roughneck is a deckhand on the drilling floor who performs manual labor and assists in drilling operations. This role is physically demanding and serves as the next step after Roustabout in the offshore career ladder. Roughnecks support the Derrickman, Driller, and Lead Roughneck in handling drill pipe, casings, and equipment.

🔧 Key Responsibilities
Assist with tripping operations (running and pulling drill pipe)
Operate and maintain tools and drilling equipment
Handle casing, tubing, and drill pipe on the rig floor
Maintain the drilling floor and equipment in safe working order
Support Derrickman and Driller during drilling operations
Follow safety protocols and offshore procedures
Perform general deck duties and assist in rig maintenance

Experience as a Roustabout (preferred)
Offshore certification from OPITO (BOSIET & HUET)
Offshore medical certificate
