Assistant Mechanic

An Assistant Mechanic is an entry-level technical role that supports the mechanical and maintenance team on offshore rigs, vessels, or production platforms. The position involves assisting with machinery maintenance, repairs, and equipment inspections, preparing the candidate for a fully qualified Mechanic or Technician role.

🔧 Key Responsibilities
Assist in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical systems and equipment
Help operate and maintain pumps, engines, hydraulic systems, and auxiliary machinery
Perform routine inspections, lubrication, and cleaning of machinery
Assist senior mechanics during overhauls or emergency repairs
Maintain tools, equipment, and workspaces in an organized and safe manner
Follow all offshore safety procedures and mechanical work protocols
Support deck operations or other teams with mechanical tasks when required

Basic mechanical training or apprenticeship (preferred)
Must have all offshore required documents (Covid 19 Certificate, Bosiet, Seamans Book, Valid Offshore Medical)
