Fabricator

-Read and interpret blueprints and/or drawings to determine the fabrication requirements;
- Lay out, cut and form metals to specifications;
- Cut and shape metal components;
- Cut, roll, shape, bend, mould, spin, heat or hammer metal products to fabricate parts or sub-assemblies;
- Assemble parts and structures by lining up and joining them by welding, bolting or riveting;
- Set up and/or operate hand and machine tools, Pedestal drill, grinders, and hydraulic press;
- Select, clean and prepare metal stock. Cut marked-out metal sections and shapes using hand tools, flame cutting torches and metal cutting machines;
-Align parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments;
- Set up welding machines based on the job at hand or using a Welding Procedure Specification;
- Weld steel, aluminium and stainless steel components based on the specifications of the;
blueprints and/or drawings including Oxy-Acetylene
- Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards.

-Evidence of apprenticeship or significant equivalent experience;
- Lockout and Tagout;
- Proficient in Microsoft systems and packages;
- Permit to work systems and process understanding;
- Demonstrable and detailed working evidence of CMMS system administration such as SAP;
- Extensive relevant work experience in a welding/fabrication discipline;
- Formal welding qualifications advantageous;
-Demonstrable evidence of use, understanding and interpretation of technical welding and fabrication drawings, symbols, and components;
- ASME IX certification and qualification;
- EITB Certificate of Engineering Craftsmanship;
Fluent oral and written English.
