Certified Welder

-Set up welding machines based on the job at hand or using a Welding Procedure Specification;
- Read and interpret blueprints and/or drawings to determine the specific welding requirements;
- MIG and TIG weld steel, aluminium and stainless steel components based on the specifications of the blueprints and/or drawings;
-Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards;
- Lay out , cut and form metals to specifications;
- Follow, create and help maintain Welding Procedure Specifications;
- Set up welding cells for serial production runs where required;
- Operate machinery used in the production process, or assist machine operators.
- Assemble items as required;
- Maintain welding equipment and supplies;
- Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities;
- Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on quality of work;
- Follow all safety rules and quality standards.

• Evidence of apprenticeship or significant equivalent experience;
• Lockout and Tagout;
• Proficient in Microsoft systems and packages;
• Permit to work systems and process understanding;
• Demonstrable and detailed working evidence of CMMS system administration such as SAP;
• Extensive relevant work experience in a welding discipline;
• Qualified in ASME IX all positions to weld P1-P8 materials using GTAW and SMAW process S18:S20;
• Hold a valid ASME IX certificate position 6G from NPS 0.5 inch and above for carbon steel and stainless steel piping;
• Qualified to weld structural steel AWSD 1.1
• Demonstrable evidence of use, understanding and interpretation of technical machining drawings, symbols, and components;
• EITB Certificate of Engineering Craftsmanship
• City and Guilds in Mechanical Engineering; -Fluent oral and written English.
